Touré's Second Lesson
1. Build up your self-image. Write down 10 things that you love about who you are the most. The list can consist of physical traits as well as more intangible attributes. Revisit this list daily so when you start losing confidence you can always have something to remind you of how truly beautiful & wonderful you are. But if that becomes tough for you to do, then surround yourself with others who see your genius. Thrive from their energy until it becomes your own.
2. Forgive your past self. Sometimes we lose respect for who we are because of the wrong decisions we may have made years ago. We need to shift our focus from those mistakes and redirect it towards the opportunities ahead of us.
3. Do something every day that makes you happy. When we are happy it becomes easier for us to recognize the positive gifts life has to offer. Don’t miss your blessing because you feel as though you don’t deserve to be happy, because you do.
4. Read! There’s millions of people who struggle with self-love. The beautiful thing is that many of those people have recorded their journey through the struggle. If you are serious about truly loving you, you will seek opportunities to gain as much knowledge on the subject as you can. You will come to find that some of the methods used in the past can be applicable to your life today. Pick up a book.
